True reality dictates that we are surrounded all the time by beings of both good and negative nature. At the vortex these beings make themselves known all the time. Here is a photo I took of a rather negative demon who just wanted to scare me. Of course I only laughed and took the picture which really pissed it off. Any reaction of fear could have culminated in possession.
